The 50 Greatest Cartoons (list from 1994, now with links!)

Things which tickled my funny bone during this past year (just a quick list, by no means comprehensive):

Bumper sticker: "It takes a village to raise a child -- it takes a viking to raze a village."

Movies: Wedding Crashers and The 40 Year-Old Virgin. Both were raunchy, largely "turn on the cameras and improv" comedy, with great supporting players and some scenes or lines that basically test bladder strength.

The one PSP commercial that makes me laugh every. single. time: "Hey! Come out and play!" "I can't! I'm playing Nut!" "But there's Portable Nut!" "Whaaaaaaat?" (I don't know why, but that one just takes the cake for me...)

EDIT: Forgot the best one of all. Just the fact that this movie is even being made. And this webcomic about the movie. And this fake trailer transcript. And this LJ coverage. I mean, really, it's a cult film already and it's not even out yet. How can you go wrong with a title like that?

I should not have to resort to using Google to find the new postage rates (other than the obvious 2-cent increase on domestic First Class 1 oz. or less) on the USPS site. Bad government agency! No taxpayer-funded donuts for you!

And the worst part is, their little "press release" covers selected rate changes only. Is the price for International shipping going to change? I want answers, damn it, and they shouldn't be so difficult to find!

When I was awake at 3 am and saw lightning and heard thunder, I would have sworn we would be treated to sheets of ice on the roads this morning. Instead there is a damp and gusty autumn renaissance, the sort of weather during which one expects to see funnel clouds.

Damn it, where are my funnel clouds?

Remember, remember the 5th of November, The gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot.
